DATA QUALITY

Each department, from Marketing to Finance, through Customer service and supply chain management, depends on accurate data. Managing this data is a major concern. However, while stress is placed on data integration investment and infrastructure, little attention is given to data quality despite the fact that data serves as the foundation for any corporate decisions.

Personal data management, following regulations emanating from the French Commission Nationale Informatique et Liberté (CNIL), requires accurate, cleansed, updated and consultable data. Without irreproachable quality, the data is useless.

Data Quality is a crux issue within projects where data is the foundation of infrastructure. Companies that do not take data quality into account will risk big problems with productivity and success in their projects.
